JAPN 101 - Japanese I |
A course for beginners of Japanese. The primary goal of this course is to acquire the basic skills necessary to begin communicating in Japanese. The secondary goal of gaining insight into the Japanese language world comes by means of performing the language with an understanding of cultural and contextual appropriateness. Emphasis is placed on four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, with a primary skills on oral communication. Class meets four days per week. Laboratory work is also required. Conducted both in Japanese and English. [Fall Semester]
