FREN 345 - Life Writing:Theory & Practice
An investigation of autobiography through reading, analysis, and discussion of life writings from France and francophone countries. Representative authors include Apollinaire, Colette, Delerm, Nothomb, Sartre, and Sarraute. Emphasis is on the development of critical analysis of texts and of writing abilities through students’ research and own autobiographical essays. Conducted entirely in French. Prerequisite: French 202 with a grade of C+ or better, placement, or equivalent.
